THE BACKGROUND

In early 2023, I found myself increasingly drawn to the Edtech ecosystem. I felt an urge to contribute meaningfully to the community and help nurture its growth. I was inspired by the idea that accessible education could drive both personal and professional transformations, especially in tech. My passion led me to consider how I might create something valuable for others something that would not only offer guidance but also inspire creativity, persistence, and skill-building. Driven by this vision, I began thinking about an educational platform that could serve as a bridge for budding designers and seasoned professionals alike, offering them a place to learn, refine, and share their expertise.

Between April and May 2023, I invested time in mastering Webflow, a tool that felt like the perfect canvas for my idea. By June, I had launched uxresourcehub.com, an online platform dedicated to providing free, high-quality UI/UX lesson videos and essential resources. UX Resource Hub became my way of empowering designers, regardless of their experience level, with tools to support their growth and confidence. At its core, the platform was built to serve a larger purpose: to foster a well-rounded tech education that benefits individuals strengthens businesses, and drives economic growth.

THE GOAL

The goal of UX Resource Hub is to make high-quality UI/UX education accessible to everyone, regardless of their background or financial situation. I wanted to create a resource that would empower aspiring designers who might otherwise face barriers to entry, providing them with a strong foundation and the tools to develop their skills independently. By offering free lessons and curated resources, UX Resource Hub ensures that anyone passionate about design can find guidance, learn industry best practices, and access the essentials needed to start or elevate their career. The platform is built to be practical and engaging, helping learners bridge the gap between theory and application in real-world design challenges.

Beyond individual empowerment, UX Resource Hub also aims to contribute positively to the global design community and the tech industry. By equipping designers with the knowledge to create impactful, user-centered experiences, the platform indirectly supports businesses, enabling designers to contribute to meaningful digital transformation. The goal is not only to educate but to foster a community of designers who feel confident and prepared to take on projects that drive innovation and economic growth. CHALLENGE

Using e-books as a resource tool can make learning confusing and stressful, especially if individuals have trouble with the hosting tool or navigating the links. Also some aspiring UI/UX designers face challenges starting their journey, dealing with financial constraints for courses and uncertainty about the right learning path or finding important UX resources. These reasons led me to build uxresourcehub.com.

1. Educational Gap: Many traditional educational institutions offer limited or outdated UX design courses, leaving a significant gap in practical knowledge and industry-relevant skills.

2. Resource Accessibility: Quality UX design resources are scattered across various platforms, making it challenging for learners to find reliable and up-to-date information.

The target audience for UX Resource Hub includes both aspiring and experienced designers in the UI/UX field who are passionate about improving their skills and staying current with industry practices. This platform is crafted for individuals at all stages of their design journey from newcomers looking for a foundation in UX principles to seasoned professionals seeking advanced insights and resources to refine their craft. By offering free, accessible content, UX Resource Hub supports a global audience who value continuous learning, providing tools and lessons that cater to designers' evolving needs and help them make impactful contributions to the tech industry.

RESEARCH

My research has provided insights into the demographic characteristics, including age and gender, of individuals in the UI/UX field or those aspiring to enter it.

This empathy map reflects individuals' thoughts, feelings, experiences, and challenges in the UIUX field. It helped you understand their needs and design solutions that cater to their goals and aspirations in UI/UX design.

ACTION PLAN

I created the Website using Webflow software. I designed it to be mobile-responsive and web-friendly. I included all learnings on UI, UX, Figma, Portfolio development, a wide range of courses, and extra resources such as design templates, toolkits, and industry best practices to support users in their design journey.

The 'Why' Section?

Before embarking on your UI/UX journey, it's crucial to grasp the "why" behind your motivation. The 'Why' section I designed serves as a gateway to understanding the UI/UX field. It includes:
